With the massive August 2026 update introducing the Clash of Cards event alongside the powerful new Elephant Rider troop, defending your trophies requires an entirely new approach. We also have to adapt our layouts to perfectly integrate the new DIY Crafted Defenses, such as the multi-targeting Hot Candle, which is an absolute beast against swarms.

To help you push through the fantasy-themed Awesome Quest season and make the most of your Gold Pass rewards, I am sharing a highly resilient Town Hall 15 ranked trophy layout that I've been personally running. As showcased in the layout image 20260826_183937.jpg, this anti-3-star design is meticulously engineered to shred the current Tier 1 heavy-push meta strategies.

Core Defensive Features

• Anti-Smash Pathing: Look at the heavy compartmentalization in 20260826_183937.jpg. The Town Hall's Giga Inferno is deeply protected in its own compartment, surrounded by a maze of high-HP storages and perfectly positioned defensive heroes. This forces attackers into awkward funnels, heavily punishing Queen Charges or mindless smash attacks aiming for a quick 2-star.

• DIY Defense Integration: The true strength of this layout lies in its adaptability for the new August meta. The flexible 3x3 and 4x4 grid spaces just outside the core are perfect for slotting in your DIY Crafted Defenses. Placing a Hot Candle in these secondary rings will melt through individual tanks and completely shut down flanking Elephant Riders before they can breach the core.

• Split-Value Core: The Eagle Artillery and Monolith are situated far away from the Town Hall. By splitting these high-value targets across opposite sides of the base, an attacker using a Flame Flinger or a heavy kill squad cannot eliminate all of your primary threats simultaneously.
